Application Review

All narrative sections of your current application will be reviewed with you. Mock Interviews
Looking to make a great first impression during your medical school, residency or fellowship interview? If you are apprehensive about your abilities in this key application skill, you are not alone. A mock interview will allow you to grow your confidence and showcase your strengths. Every mock interview session includes a video-taped comprehensive interview and subsequent debriefing session. I will provide feedback on your responses to questions, engagement, likeability, body language and your speech. None of us were born knowing how to interview, but it's a skill everyone can learn with practice and the appropriate feedback. Packages available.

Mini-Mock Behavioral Interivews
Many applicants are often uncertain as to how to appropriately respond to behavioral questions. During mock interviews, clients often give rehearsed, inauthentic "cookie-cutter" responses that do not serve them well. This session is designed to help with a targeted behavioral mini-mock interview. The key is to understand what each type of question is truly asking! Eliminate generic responses and embrace strategies tailored to your unique strengths. Select three (3) behavioral questions you'd like to focus on and we'll work to help you craft meaningful authentic responses. For additional practice, I offer a comprehensive 75 minute full mock session with behavioral focused questions.

Mentorship Sessions
Ask Questions, Gain Clarity, Set Your Goals, Talk Strategy, Build Confidence - It's your call. I've mentored hundred of individuals with a mentorship/coaching style which is collaborative and facilitative. Applicants use these sessions at selected points during the application season to provide individualized support when they need it - during residency program selection, as a post-interview briefing session, during ROL preparation, SOAP, next steps and more. Medical Ethics Preparation
Ethics questions are often vexing to students preparing for medical school interviews. To effectively understand how to respond to various common and uncommon scenarios, once must have a basic understanding of the tenets of medical ethics and how they apply to real-world situations which doctors encounter. In each session we review basic ethic principles and selected AMA Ethics topics which present common dilemmas for physicians. While a single session is helpful, utilizing the Ethics Package will ensure a more comprehensive review of key areas including Physician-Patient relationships, Informed Consent, Decision-Making Capacity, Social Media and Professionalism, Privacy in Healthcare, DNAR order, Withholding/withdrawal of Life Support, Physician-assisted suicide (medically assisted suicide) and Impairment in Physicians.
