Service Description
Ethics questions are often vexing to students preparing for medical school interviews. To effectively understand how to respond to various common and uncommon scenarios, once must have a basic understanding of the tenets of medical ethics and how they apply to real-world situations which doctors encounter. This service aims to provide you with a review of basic ethic principles and a few selected AMA Ethics topics which present common dilemmas for physicians. While a single session is helpful, utilizing the Ethics Package of 5 sessions will ensure a more comprehensive review of key areas including Physician-Patient relationships, Informed Consent, Decision-Making Capacity, Social Media and Professionalism, Privacy in Healthcare, DNAR order, Withholding/withdrawal of Life Support, Physician-assisted suicide (medically assisted suicide) and Impairment in Physicians.
